Virtual trauma therapy & counseling for adults in Pennsylvania who want to understand, process and shift the way past experiences are shaping their life today. Our work helps you explore old patterns, understand why they’re still happening and build new ways of responding so trauma no longer runs your life.
Many people don’t immediately recognize their present struggles as the result of past experiences or trauma. Trauma can show up in a lot of different ways and you don’t need to have experienced one dramatic, life-altering event for it to still be affecting your well-being today.
You constantly feel anxious, hypervigilant and emotionally overwhelmed no matter how hard you try to relax
You find yourself shutting down, dissociating, daydreaming or “checking out” often
You experience flashbacks, nightmares or intrusive memories that keep the past alive
You keep repeating painful relationship cycles involving trust issues, avoidance or self-sabotage
You struggle to set boundaries and prioritize your own needs without feeling guilt or shame.
You feel emotionally and physically exhausted from constantly being on edge and never feeling safe
If you’ve ever wondered whether what you’ve experienced is “bad enough” to count as trauma, you’re not alone. Many people go through life thinking they don’t deserve therapy because what they experienced wasn’t that bad. The truth is, trauma therapy can support both dramatic, life-altering events and quieter experiences that may not have felt traumatic at the time but still shape how you feel today.

We draw from a variety of evidence-based trauma therapies and tailor our approach to your individual needs and goals. Above all, we believe that the most important part of trauma therapy is trust. We aim to provide a therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely safe and unconditionally accepted – so you can know that someone is in your corner no matter what.
Helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories so they feel less emotionally overwhelming and less present in your day-to-day life.
Helps you build practical skills to manage overwhelm, emotional intensity, stress responses and relationship conflict more effectively.
Helps you recognize and shift current thought and belief patterns that developed in response to past experiences, so they no longer keep you stuck.
We pride ourselves in offering high-quality online therapy for individuals in Pennsylvania who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change – despite their best efforts to think or work their way through them.
Our work focuses on understanding and healing those underlying wounds together – so you don’t have to settle for coping with symptoms, but can actually change the patterns at the root and move through life feeling more confident, capable and in control.
We go beyond symptom management to understand the deeper patterns, beliefs and survival responses shaping your life today.
You can attend our virtual therapy sessions from wherever you feel safe and comfortable – your home, your car or anywhere you like in Pennsylvania.
We partner with Headway to accept most major insurance plans and provide additional support for out-of-network options.
We follow a no-judgement approach in regards to neurodivergence that takes overwhelm, masking & executive functioning into account.
We know therapy can already feel hard enough to start. Cost and insurance confusion shouldn’t make it harder. That’s why we partner with Headway to accept over 45 insurance plans as in-network providers, including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Carelon, Independence Blue Cross (IBX), Quest and more.
If your insurance isn’t in-network through Headway, you may still be able to receive reimbursement through out-of-network benefits using a service like Mentaya. If you’re unsure how any of this works, we can walk you through your options and help you figure out the best solution

It’s less about whether something fits a label and more about whether certain emotions/behaviors/thoughts still show up in your life now. If past experiences are influencing how you think, feel, relate to others or respond under stress, then it’s clinically relevant. Regardless of how “big” or “small” it may seem in hindsight.
Yes. For many people, virtual therapy can actually make trauma work more accessible and sustainable because you’re doing it from a space where you already feel safe. The most important part of trauma therapy isn’t the location, it’s the quality of the therapeutic relationship and the consistency of the work. When those are in place, telehealth can be just as effective as in-person treatment.
That’s actually more common than people think. Memory isn’t always stored in a clear, linear way, especially when experiences were really overwhelming or happened early in life.
In trauma work, especially with EMDR, we don’t have to rely on detailed recall in order to make progress. We can still work with the little fragments you do remember, how you feel now and the patterns that show up in your relationships, emotions and body responses. Often, that tells us so much more than a perfect memory can.
No. You don’t have to talk about every detail of your story for trauma therapy to be effective. A lot of trauma work is actually about understanding the impact those experiences had on you rather than forcing you to relive every moment.
If we do need to talk about some of the difficult experiences directly, we’ll make sure to only do it once a proper therapeutic relationship is established and at a pace that feels manageable for you.
That concern usually makes sense, especially if you’ve had to manage things on your own for a long time. Good trauma therapy shouldn’t constantly push you outside your window of tolerance or make you feel dysregulated. It’s actually quite the opposite. We’ll work to help your system feel more stable over time so you have more capacity to look at difficult material safely.
If things ever feel like too much, we slow down, shift approach or focus on stabilization. You’re never expected to tough it out or just push through it.
I don’t know if any therapist can answer that question in advance. A solid year of therapy can often make a decent change for most people. Some come for less and some for more. It depends on what you’re working through, how long patterns have been in place and what you want your life to look like on the other side of them.
Finding the right therapist is hard! If you’re ready to get in touch with us, we invite you to schedule a free, no-pressure consultation with one of our therapists. You’ll get the chance to share what’s going on, ask any open questions and see if we would be a good match.
