I seek to understand each person I treat. I want you to feel seen and understood in the context of your life and experiences. My goal is to get to the root of any problem to understand why at one point it seemed to work even if it no longer is helpful. I want to give others what at times it might have felt like I didn’t have at different times in my life. I have built skills myself to achieve my own dreams and want to help others do the same for themselves.
I tend to work with people who want to know what is working or not working in their behavior or way of thinking and might be holding them back. I can read relationships in the way they affect a person and that person’s belief system about themselves and the world around them. I will tell you when your thinking is right and when you are off the mark. Sometimes that will be about taking too much of the blame. Sometimes, I will point out the behaviors that are not exactly helping meet your goals, firm but caring.
I learned the process of therapy in the world of harm reduction and psychodynamic approaches. This means that even if we aren’t working perfectly on the goal, I would rather you stick around for support until you are ready to fully commit rather than to give up and be alone. I also believe the therapeutic relationship is a major aspect of change in the process of therapy.
I can use many tools from many modalities, but the most important part of trauma therapy especially is that you can trust me. I want to provide a safe space where you can explore yourself and your goals to better understand and become the most genuine version of yourself.
My counseling career began in community mental health, where I worked as an intern and early-career therapist from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, I earned my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification and went on to work in addiction treatment in Pennsylvania’s only inpatient gambling addiction program.
Since 2018, I have been the owner and therapist at Space Between The Words, where I provide individual counseling for adults throughout Pennsylvania. My work focuses primarily on trauma, anxiety, and neurodivergent experiences, helping clients better understand themselves, heal from difficult experiences and build lives that feel more aligned with who they are.
In addition to my clinical experience, I have received specialized training in EMDR therapy, problem gambling treatment and clinical supervision.
I have ADHD and don’t really drink coffee as it does nothing for me. When I do have coffee, it’s cold no matter the time of year. Pumpkinspice and Blueberry go together oddly well.
Before the pandemic, I was able to go to Iceland and Peru. I can’t wait to get back to Iceland one day.
I believe my Enneagram was between 4 and 9.
My Myers Briggs Type is INFP.

I struggle to sit down to read an entire book. I think the last books I read that were fiction would be the Kyoshi books from the Avatar the Last Airbender universe. I am interested in the Dungeon Crawler Carl books though. I would love to read The Stormlight Archive stuff from Brandon Sanderson, but these books are enormous.
There’s a road I know I must go
Even though I tell myself that road is closed
Listen, lonely seabird, you’ve been away from land too long
Oh, too long

I play Dnd with friends. We had a table running since 2017. I like to homebrew a lot of my own stuff and find ways to affect the world without minmaxing to break the game.
